Technical Writer Systems Engineer (Level 2)

Proficient in proper English grammar, spelling and professional writing.  The technical writer must have experience navigating Jira tools, experience with Microsoft products, Adobe products, wiki, web-based document repositories like madforge and other software to enhance office visualization and documentation needs.  A technical writer with experience in authoring mission achievements which convey to upper management, as well as a diverse workforce, the major impacts of project completions is required.  Prior experience creating SPFs is preferred.  Attention to detail is required in this position.  The technical writer may have split duties with another office within the same organization, the requirements for both offices are conceptually identical.  Duties of the technical writer will include:
  • Creating, drafting, modifying and issuing final documentation to support highlighting mission achievements to a wide and diverse audience, creating test documentation (DT&E), authoring training documents, creating visual displays, authoring and modifying user guides to assist a wide and diverse user base, compliance waivers and documentation, diagrams, rack elevations, security documentation, drawings (tools).  Typical mission achievements are expected to be in a standardized format of 5-sentences, with enough context to convey the importance as well as enough detail to inform the diverse group of readers of the latest in technology.  The technical writer will be expected to read input from developers/engineers, mission managers, analysts and managers and professionally re-write the information to be presented to upper management, as well as mass workforce
  • Receiving and updating tasking through ticketing systems or direct communication with team/government leads

Utilize Jira, wiki, Microsoft/Adobe and other software to enhance office visualization and documentation needs.

In addition to the minimum required capabilities and qualifications specified in the SOW for the selected labor category, the following special technical skills are also REQUIRED:
 
  • Experience with Microsoft/Adobe and other software to enhance office visualization and documentation needs
