CNO Systems Engineer (Level 6)

Job Description:

This position will support the Computer Network Operations (CNO) organization by providing recommendations on the use of operational platforms and strategies tailored to specific mission needs.  Develop operational concepts in support of mission and recommend technical and operational solutions.  The contractor shall identify opportunities to partner and recommend engagements that further the mission for the U.S. and Joint Combatant Commands.  Candidate must be able to develop actionable target knowledge through target analysis and development, discovery, mining of SIGINT data repositories, scripting, and automation opportunities. Author/ Contribute to systems engineering documentation such as Operational plans, System Engineering Plans, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.  Derive and manage system requirements, create and maintain project profile page(s) with overall project status, and brief stakeholders on technical status.   

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Computer Network Operations Exploitation Analyst experience.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity operations including vulnerability discovery/assessment, exploitation strategies and risk management concept.   
  • This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.


Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Knowledge of Telecommunications network, especially IP networking to include routing, switching and firewall operations.   
  • Knowledge of virtualization principles.
  • Familiarity with client operating systems including Windows and Unix.
