Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 5)

Job Description:  

Provide systems engineering (SE) support to customer and partner research, development, testing and evaluation of Cyber capabilities.  Specific duties will include defining and producing SE products and architecture artifacts to baseline and document a pilot system’s components, capabilities, interfaces, specifications and dependencies; and develop/document requirements and artifacts for full implementation of capabilities.  Contractor will build user guides and document end-to-end data flows along with lesson learned and mitigations from the pilot.

 

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Expertise in documenting architectures and data flows.
  • Understanding of Systems Administration concepts and practices.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, sensors used for network security monitoring
  • Assist the Project Lead and System Engineering Lead in timely fashion to Identify Risk Management Framework and system security using customer security databases.
  • Ability to understand system accreditation and policy fulfillment process, JTIC testing, Authority to Connect
  • Understanding of Systems Administration concepts and practices.
  • This is a Full Time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

 

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Experience capturing the requirements for establishing secured data transport pathways from remote sensors to the USCYBERCOM big data platform.
  • Ability to understand long haul networking communication information technology concept involving TACLANES, Routers, switches, Firewalls, AWA S3 cloud and NIOFI data transport
  • Ability to identify dependencies between front end DCO sensors and back end Big Data Platforms
  • Knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions and architecting transport circuits and data flow
